Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking a Pharmacist to help doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to support patient recovery. You will review each prescription for safety and authorize dispensing with a final check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science upon hire
• Doctor of Pharmacy upon hire
• Hospital or retail pharmacy experience
• Pharmacist: KY, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for safety, drug interactions, dosing and allergies.
• Authorize prescriptions and perform final check before dispensing.
• Document clinical activities and interventions as per policy.
• Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
• Maintain knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups.
• Maintain working knowledge of automated systems.
