Job summary

Vision Quest Solutions Inc. seeks a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services at Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. The role is full-time, on-site within the Indian Health Service, supporting medication management and patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will review orders, counsel patients, collaborate with physicians and staff, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy.
• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacist license.
• Ability to provide professional pharmacist services within the scope of practice.
• Knowledge of medication safety, drug interactions, contraindications, dosing, and pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders and prescriptions for appropriateness, accuracy, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic effectiveness.
• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with applicable pharmacy standards.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
• Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services as assigned.
• Provide drug information and clinical pharmacy support to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medication and pharmacy documentation.
• Support medication inventory and pharmaceutical supply management.
• Promote medication safety and appropriate medication use.
• Maintain compliance with IHS, federal, pharmacy, and patient-safety requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
