Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana is seeking a Critical Care/ Emergency Medicine Pharmacist to deliver direct, evidence-based medication management for critically ill and emergent patients. You will participate in rapid response events, support antimicrobial stewardship, teach and precept, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to improve outcomes.

A PGY1 is required; PGY2 in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine strongly preferred; hospital residency or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency; PGY2 in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine strongly preferred, or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

Reports to the Pharmacy Manager and assists in the development and maintenance of pharmacy services that promote and provide pharmaceutical care. Participates directly in clinically oriented services with a commitment to providing an excellent customer service experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Education and Experience

The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited school of pharmacy or successful completion of the foreign pharmacy equivalency exam and licensure as a registered pharmacist or eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana. The completion of hospital pharmacy residency or equivalent experience is preferred.
