Qualifications

• Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Strong clinical knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and support daily inpatient operations.
• Complete medication reconciliation and discharge medication reviews.
• Provide discharge counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication therapy.
• Monitor antimicrobial therapy and provide recommendations based on culture and sensitivity results.
• Manage and monitor anticoagulation and pharmacokinetic dosing regimens.
• Review patient medication profiles for interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriateness.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
• Support formulary management, medication safety initiatives, and quality improvement programs.

Location: Gainesville, FL

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity with a specialty inpatient hospital in the Gainesville, FL area. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team supporting medically complex patients.

We are seeking a pharmacist with strong inpatient clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide direct patient care through medication management, discharge counseling, and clinical pharmacy services.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 8-Hour Day Shifts, 40 Hours Per Week

Requirements

• Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing
• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
