Job summary

Mercy is seeking a pharmacist to oversee medication preparation and dispensing, verify orders, and monitor patient therapy. The role serves as a resource for medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

It involves supervising support staff and ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory standards. Preferred Missouri MTSC certification and a current pharmacist license; prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure current in applicable state.
• ACPE-accredited pharmacy education required.
• Pharmacists should be eligible for Missouri MTSC within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Verify medication orders and monitor patient medication therapy.
• Provide medication information to patients, physicians, nurses and staff.
• Identify, resolve and prevent medication-related problems through physician intervention.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel to ensure timely medication administration.
