Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago seeks a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Pharmacist for Wood Street Pharmacy in Chicago, IL. The position supports Ambulatory Pharmacy Services and teaches in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, with responsibilities spanning clinical care and precepting residents.

The role requires a PharmD, Illinois licensure or eligibility, and strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills to enhance patient care within the UI Health System.

Qualifications

• Licensed, or eligible for licensure as a professional pharmacist in Illinois as of start date.
• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy PharmD program.
• Candidate must possess knowledge and skills such that they qualify for a non-tenured clinical faculty position (at the rank of Clinical Instructor) with the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the UIC College of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• The accurate and efficient review and verification of medication orders, providing patient medication counseling and working with health care providers and patients to resolve any medication issues.
• Ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, directing the activities performed by pharmacy technicians, serving as a resource for clinic-based staff for medication-related questions, and assisting with all mail out activities.
