Job summary

You will verify orders, dispense meds, counsel patients, monitor therapy, and participate in rounds with the healthcare team. A current state license and ACPE-accredited degree are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state where currently practicing.
• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology and drug therapy principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders for accuracy, potential interactions, and allergies.
• Dispense medications according to physician orders and protocols.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, side effects, and administration.
• Monitor drug therapy for safety and efficacy, advising physicians as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute pharmacology expertise.
• Manage inventory and proper storage/disposal of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations governing pharmacy practice.
