Job summary

FenixHire is seeking a Pharmacist (PharmD/RPh) for a community pharmacy in California. The role emphasizes medication safety, accurate dispensing, patient relationships, immunizations, and collaboration with experienced technicians and a leadership team.

You will review prescriptions, counsel patients on proper use and interactions, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while delivering high-quality patient care in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the applicable state.
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and medication safety awareness.
• Excellent patient counseling and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Retail pharmacy experience is welcome but not required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Screen prescriptions for possible interactions, contraindications, and other medication-related concerns.
• Administer immunizations and support pharmacy-based clinical services.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and dispensing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and maintain high standards of patient care.
