Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time Pharmacist for a day shift to join the Benefit Investigation team at HUP. The role involves providing comprehensive pharmacy services, reviewing orders, dispensing medications for inpatients and outpatients, and maintaining patient profiles with an aim to optimize drug therapy.

Required credentials include a PA pharmacist license and an immunization license; a BS or PharmD from an accredited college is expected.

Qualifications

• Current PA pharmacist license required.
• Current immunization license in PA required.
• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.

Responsabilités

• Provide optimal pharmacy service to patients and healthcare professionals by designing, monitoring, evaluating and documenting pharmacotherapy.
• Demonstrate awareness of patient confidentiality and safety in daily responsibilities.
• Verify, prepare, and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure positive outcomes.
• Provide concise, applicable drug information responses to healthcare providers and patients.
• Participate in management of medical emergencies.
• Ensure adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines.
• Supervise and direct the activities of pharmacy staff and students.
