Mercy is seeking a clinically driven Clinical Pharmacist (Hospital PRN) to optimize medication therapy and support patient care on an interdisciplinary hospital team in Missouri.
You will review orders, resolve drug-related issues, counsel patients, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while educating students and residents as needed.
Responsible for performing all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs. Responsible for identifying potential and existing drug related problems and taking appropriate actions to prevent or resolve them. Serves as the medication expert on the health care team and takes an active role in the care of patients. Provides education to the community, other health care providers, pharmacy interns, and pharmacy residents. Maintain/enhance pharmacotherapeutic skills through the reading of primary literature, national guidelines and/or medical references Performs related duties as assigned.
