Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach County, FL, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe, efficient operation of the pharmacy, including compounding, labeling, dispensing medications and IV admixtures.
The role involves supervising pharmacy technicians, delivering clinical drug information to physicians and nurses, and supporting department education for residents, interns, and students. Evening and weekend rotations may be required.

Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Must be a current registered pharmacist in the state of Florida, board certification. Self-motivated. Good interpersonal communication with physicians, nurses, etc. Problem solving skills. Work as a team player. Ability to use computerized information systems.
Under the supervision of the Manager of Pharmacy, performs all duties necessary to provide effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs. This includes compounding, labeling and dispensing of medication and IV admixtures. Supervises pharmacy technicians in all work areas. Provide clinical services to enhance medication administration and therapeutic outcomes. Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of the healthcare staff. Participation in appropriate committees. Provide support for department education including residents, interns, and students. Require up to 25% variable staff rotation to meet department needs including evenings and weekends. Performs other duties as assigned.

These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis. Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD Surveillance Program and Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
