Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Pharmacist to oversee pharmaceutical care, evaluate biomedical literature, and design patient-specific therapy regimens. You will counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, safety, and adherence.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, participating in emergency management when applicable, and supporting medication safety, quality improvement, and formulary management.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice
• Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited school or NABP FPGEC certificate
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, evaluating literature and designing medication therapy regimens
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication use, adverse effects, and adherence
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions
• Participates in medication safety and quality improvement activities
• Maintains formulary adherence and coordinates non-formulary or investigational meds
• Prepares, dispenses, and ensures proper storage and handling of medications
• Serves as preceptor and mentors pharmacy teammates and students
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
• Supports age-appropriate patient care across life span
