Job summary

Atrium Health in Winston-Salem is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist Float for Community Pharmacy. This full-time, 40-hour position offers a rotating first shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm, M–F) with weekend and holiday rotations and coverage across all community and specialty sites.

You will oversee pharmaceutical care, review orders, counsel patients and caregivers, design and monitor pharmacotherapy regimens, support safety and quality initiatives, mentor students and teammates, and help ensure formulary

Qualifications

• Oversee pharmaceutical care and design medication therapy regimens.
• Provide patient counseling on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, handling, and administration.
• Review medication orders and prescriptions with accurate interpretation.
• Participate in medical emergencies when applicable.
• Support medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate on formulary adherence and the medication-use process; assist in acquisition of non-formulary, compassionate use, and investigational meds.
• Comply with organization policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Precept and mentor pharmacy students, residents, and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on therapy, adverse effects, and proper administration.
• Review orders and prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Engage in medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Mentor students, residents, and pharmacy staff.
