Job summary

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Health Service Corps seeks a Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in ICE facilities, dispensing medications, counseling patients, managing inventory, and supporting formulary management.

The role reports to the Supervisory Lead Pharmacist and is limited to USPHS officers or CAD candidates. The position entails reviewing prescriptions, counseling patients, preparing and labeling medications, and assisting with night/weekend coverage and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program.
• Permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Expertise in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics and clinic-based pharmacy management.
• Proficiency with standard office technology including Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of pharmacy nomenclature, dosage forms, and English-Metric equivalents.
• Data entry skills and ability to work with numbers and basic accounting concepts.
• Competence in operating general office machines and clinic management tools.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions to determine drug name, strength, and dosage.
• Adjust instructions to match stocked strengths and dosage forms.
• Label prescriptions with clear and concise provider instructions.
• Counsel patients on medication use, using native language when possible.
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and expiration dates; reorder supplies as needed.
• Answer routine inquiries from doctors, nurses, and staff about drug availability and formulary items.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies; participate in audits.
