Overview:

Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, verifies medication orders, and monitors patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through physician intervention. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure timely medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory standards in executing job responsibilities.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited School or College of Pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license from the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Experience: Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
