Job summary

HMR Veterans Services is seeking a Pharmacist to support the Director of Pharmacy and oversee the facility's pharmaceutical services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure high-quality care for residents. You will interpret policies, supervise dispensing, and maintain accurate drug records.

Responsibilities include policy adherence, inventory control, coordinating with families and residents, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college.
• Active or eligible pharmacy license in the state.
• Minimum two years hospital/clinical experience and one year in management.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and living center practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Director of Pharmacy and manage pharmaceutical services per policies.
• Ensure accuracy, storage, labeling, and distribution of medications.
• Maintain liaison with families, residents, and external agencies.
• Supervise records of controlled substances and drug inventory.
• Participate in discharge planning and resident care planning as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations governing dispensing and labeling.
