Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a pharmacist to implement and provide clinical pharmacy services at CGM Cooper Green. The role collaborates with prescribers to optimize safe medication use in the outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include medication order review, drug information support, and participation in ambulatory programs to improve patient outcomes. Onsite work with hospital-affiliated teams, focusing on cost-effective therapies and patient assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• PharmD or B.S in Pharmacy degree.
• Active Alabama Pharmacist License?
• CPR/BLS Certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Board Certification desirable.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Residency.
• Minimum of 2 years in ambulatory pharmacy or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify physician orders for all medications.
• Collaborate with providers and nursing to ensure safe patient care.
• Maintain compliance with Alabama Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Serve as a drug information resource for outpatient care.
