Job summary

Qualifications

• Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician requests according to policies.
• Verifies CPOE orders for accuracy and intervenes when unsafe.
• Interprets orders and documents in patient records per facility procedures.
• Monitors therapy for safety, dosing, and interactions in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary rounding team to plan patient care.
• Monitors medication therapy for efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provides drug information to patients and staff; participates in QA.
• Supervises technicians and participates in education of students.
