Care New England Health System seeks a Clinically Skilled Staff Pharmacist to ensure accurate drug distribution for inpatients and outpatients. The role evaluates regimen appropriateness, participates in rounds, and develops drug care plans.
The pharmacist oversees technicians, provides drug information, and supports inventory management across hospital departments.
***This position consists of (4) 10 hour shifts***
The Clinically Skilled Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the appropriate and accurate drug distribution to hospital inpatients and out-patients. Evaluates appropriateness of drug regimen and ensures timely preparation and delivery.
Participates in clinical areas, making rounds, interviewing patients and formulatingdrug care plan. Oversees work of Pharmacy Technicians and serves as a resource to department and other hospital staff.
Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy and completion of clinical skills modules 1-8 required within one year of hire. Current pharmacist licensure within State of Rhode Island. BLS (CPR) certification desired. Hospital experience preferred.
