The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide distributive and clinical services for inpatients and outpatients at its Charleston facilities.

Qualified candidates hold a Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, are eligible for South Carolina licensure, and maintain a current BLS certification. Residency is preferred and the role supports MUHA’s patient-centered care.

Job Description

Purpose: The Clinical Pharmacist provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the Medical University Hospitals and clinics.

Requirements
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (Include physical and mental demands of the position-attach demands checklist if necessary).
    • This position requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy.
    • Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS (If applicable to position):
    • SC Registered Pharmacist License (or eligible for SC Pharmacist License)
    • Basic Life Support certification: Must be BLS Certified within three months of hire date and maintain certification throughout employment.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
