Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their Pharmacy Advisor team. This role involves making outbound calls to providers to educate them on new Medicare standards and aiding in patient care. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and at least 1 year of relevant experience. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates based in HI, TX, IL, FL, or PA with an active pharmacist license are preferred.

Qualifications

• PC literate with solid writing skills.
• Must be flexible, organized and passionate about working directly with patients.

Overview

• The role of the Clinical Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Advisor team, a specially developed clinical program to provide support to targeted members by reaching out directly to provider offices.
• Through the use of sophisticated modeling and systems, we are able to identify members who meet the desired opportunity criteria.
• Outbound calls are made directly to providers. The focus of the discussion is to provide education on new Medicare standards and how that affects their patients.
• In addition to working directly with the providers, the Pharmacy Advisor Clinical Pharmacist works very closely with other Pharmacy Advisor staff, as well as other departments, to address patient issues.
• The Pharmacists will utilize their skill sets as key drivers to positively impact patient health outcomes.
• The Pharmacy Advisor Clinical Pharmacist will have the ability to work in a highly charged, fast paced call center as well as participate in the further development and refinement of work systems, tools, processes and procedures.

• Pharmacists and Technicians will receive messaging at critical points in care that can be instrumental in driving optimal health outcomes.
• The team will work together to demonstrate the true value that Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians can have to their patients.

Required

• Required- 1+ years in Retail, LTC, Hospital or PBM pharmacy experience, or other pharmacist-to-provider consultation experience.
• Preferred- Pharmacy knowledge, drug utilization review, excellent consultation skills with providers, strong customer service skills.
• PC literate, solid writing skills, knowledge of pharmacy laws, and accurate clinical information.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to learn new operating systems and new communication strategies.
• Must be flexible, organized and have a passion for working directly with patients

Education

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D.
• Must be located in either Client, HI, TX, IL, FL, or PA and have an active pharmacist license in that state.
