Job summary

Health Wealth Safe is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy services, ensuring accurate dispensing and safe therapy. You will work with medical staff to optimize drug therapy and monitor patient responses.

You will perform IV/chemotherapy dispensing, enter orders, supervise technicians, and uphold storage and labeling standards in a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Knowledge of clinical pharmacology, medication safety, and hospital pharmacy operations.
• Strong communication, judgment, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and clinical reference tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify the quality and accuracy of all medications leaving the department.
• Dispense medications based on physician orders, ensuring correct dosages and patient appropriateness.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding medication orders, drug interactions, allergies, and dosing questions.
• Utilize computer systems and reference materials to support safe and effective medication therapy.
• Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and oversee medication storage and labeling.
• Participate in departmental planning, training, and project initiatives to improve pharmacy services.
• Enter oral and IV medication orders into pharmacy systems and supervise pharmacy technicians.
• Apply knowledge of hyperalimentation, chemotherapy, narcotic control, investigational drugs, and pharmacokinetic dosing.
