Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a Pharmacist for a permanent, full-time position at a 267-bed hospital in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Onsite role with comprehensive benefits; pay ranges from $52.00 to $64.00 per hour, plus $2.00 shift differential for 2nd shift and $4.25 for 3rd shift.

Education required: B.S. or PharmD; Florida pharmacist license; hospital experience preferred or PGY1 accepted. 40-hour weeks and strong team support provided.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. or PharmD from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• License: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience: 1+ years hospital pharmacy preferred; PGY1 acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orders and transcribe or verify into the pharmacy computer system.
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
• Sustain hospital formulary and promote rational drug therapy selection.
• Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
• Assist with clinical services: drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing.
• Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately.

Pay Range: Hourly Rate: $52.00 – $64.00/hr (based on experience)

2nd Shift Differential: $2.00/hr

3rd Shift Differential: $4.25/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately into the pharmacy computer system
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness
• Sustain hospital formulary and promote rational drug therapy selection
• Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients
• Assist with clinical services: drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing, and other programs
• Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely
• Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions
• Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Education: B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
• License: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy required
• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; will also accept candidates with PGY1 completion
• Strong team player with a desire for long-term growth
• PGY1 or hospital experience highly preferred
