Job summary

Delta Health seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to provide safe, high‑quality inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. The role includes medication preparation, dispensing, management, and clinical support in a regulated hospital setting.

You will review orders, supervise technicians, perform reconciliation, and participate in quality improvement while ensuring Colorado Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA compliance. Reports to Director of Pharmacy and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Pharmacy required.
  • Current Colorado Pharmacist (RPh) license required.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Hospital residency preferred.
  • Experience with unit-dose, IV admixture, TPN, and/or pharmacokinetics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret medication orders and identify potential therapeutic issues.
  • Prepare, compound, package, label, and dispense sterile and non-sterile medications.
  • Supervise inpatient and outpatient medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Monitor drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations and interventions.
  • Perform medication reconciliation and discharge medication counseling.
  • Conduct medication therapy management under approved collaborative practice agreements.
  • Provide drug information and education to physicians, nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee pharmacy technician workflow and verify medication preparation, labeling, order entry, and charges.
  • Maintain compliance with Colorado Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, and hospital requirements, including controlled substance records and medication inspections.
  • Participate in quality improvement, auditing, education, and other pharmacy initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with other pharmacists.

Job description
