Job summary

Delray Medical Center, part of the Tenet Healthcare family, seeks a pharmacist to join our hospital-based team in Florida. You will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, screen for dosage variations, drug interactions, and collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires a BS-Pharmacy with hospital experience; PharmD is preferred, and Florida Pharmacist licensure is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • BS-Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
  • Florida Pharmacist Licensure required.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties to assure quality drug therapy.
  • Maintains education standards as required by state law and hospital policy and procedures.
  • Works with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain collaborative relationship with pharmacy.

Job Summary

Up to $5,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months

Full Time, Rotate- FT rotating days and evenings, with an every other weekend component

Provides services to medical, nursing and pharmacy staff. Responsible for providing all aspects of pharmaceutical care assuring a positive patient outcome. The Pharmacists must be skilled in screening for all age/dosage/disease dependent variations and be alert for improper dosages, drug interactions, and play a major role in drug monitoring. This person shall possess excellent communication skills and be an active participant with physicians and fellow health care workers.

  • Performs quality assurance procedures as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals and as assigned by the pharmacy director, pharmacy manager, and/or clinical coordinator.
  • Maintains education standards as required by state law and hospital policy and procedures.
  • Works with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain collaborative relationship with pharmacy
Qualifications
EDUCATION
  • Minimum: BS-Pharmacy
  • Preferred: PharmD degree
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum: Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Preferred: Three (3)years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
  • Current Florida Pharmacist Licensure
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in hospital or related health facility
