Job Summary And Qualifications

Our Pharmacists provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services for hospital inpatients. The role of the Pharmacy is to promote safe and effective medication therapy and provide oversight and leadership of the medication use system. Our team is passionate about ensuring an exceptional patient experience and caring like family.

What you will do in this role:

  • Interpret orders and transcribe into the pharmacy computer system.
  • Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
  • Suggest appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic medication alternatives.
  • Sustain the hospital formulary, minimize non-formulary procurements, and promote rational drug therapy.
  • Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing, and other programs.
  • Complete reports on medication errors and adverse reactions.
  • Provide oversight of staff schedules.

Qualifications needed:

  • B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • State-specific Medications Therapy Management Certification.
  • At least 1 year hospital clinical pharmacy experience or 2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred; focus area preferred.
  • Completion of hospital PGY1 residency or fellowship highly preferred.
