Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect care under the supervision of an RN. The role supports 24-hour hospital operations with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and timely service.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and maintaining clean, well-stocked patient rooms under established protocols.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assisting Training Program and eligibility for Florida CNA examination.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required and kept active during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living under RN supervision, including bathing, hygiene, nutrition and comfort.
• Take and document vital signs, heights, weights, head circumference, and other measurements in the Electronic Health Record.
• Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens as directed under protocols.
• Inform RN of patient condition changes and assist with re-prioritizing care as needed.
• Restock supplies and help prepare rooms for turnover and new patients.
• Greet patients and families, explain services, and provide supportive care to promote comfort.
