Shift/Hours: 40 hours/week, 1st Shift 8:30A-5P; after training, one in-office day per month. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, medical terminology knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Following the initial in person training period, this role will work a hybrid schedule with one in office day a month.

Job Description

• patient registration,
• patient scheduling,
• patient billing,
• assist with pre-certification if applicable (collect insurance information; receipt of co-pays or bill payments),
• medical records retrieval, release, or collection,
• data entry
• answering phones.

Responsible for routine problem resolution, assistance with patient flow coordination, and initiation of follow-up with appropriate staff as needed. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to patient privacy and confidentiality, i.e., HIPAA laws.

Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Minimum Requirements

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

• High school graduate or GED
