Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Nutrition Therapist to manage medical nutrition care for a broad patient population. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to integrate nutrition into the overall plan of care, using NCPT to assess status and develop evidence-based plans.

You will educate patients and families, train students, and participate in process improvements and research. A bachelor's degree, ACEND program completion, RDN, and LMNT licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition from a US regionally accredited college or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of ACEND-accredited program and supervised practice.
• RDN credential and LMNT licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical nutrition care for a generalized patient population.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate nutrition care with the plan of care.
• Use NCPT to assess status, diagnose nutrition issues and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families and community.
• Train students in clinical and classroom settings; participate in research.
