The community you will care for:

  • Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando
  • Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America
  • Houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country
  • Provides service to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually

The role you’ll contribute:

The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor supports the operation of the clinical nutrition department by communicating and supporting its goals, facilitating a safe work environment with adequate tools and resources, and serving the Registered Dietitians and other staff. Responsible for ensuring that dietitians provide safe, effective, and evidence-based medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition education, counseling, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and condition-specific nutrition care, following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance. Ensures quality practice, competence, and accountability for patient safety, providing safe, quality services aligned with the organization's mission and vision. Assists in creating, designing, and implementing quality improvement programs, and supports accreditation and regulatory compliance initiatives. Occasional inter-campus travel may be required. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all clients and staff.

  • Ensures customer needs for dietetic, food, and nutrition services are met, including effective screening, assessment, documentation, and safe practice.
  • Attends multi-campus Registered Dietitian Leader meetings, interdepartmental committees, and maintains regulatory readiness.
  • Assists with compiling and reporting clinical key performance indicators to the department manager.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics or a related field
  • Two years of clinical experience
  • Current, active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Current, active Florida Department of Health dietitian/nutritionist license
