Job summary

Tri-Rivers Career Center Adult Education is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor to support students in our LPN to RN Program. The Clinical Nursing Instructor will supervise students in clinical settings, connect classroom learning to patient care, and provide coaching and feedback as students develop their nursing skills.

The role is part-time with up to 1,300 hours per year, starting in Oct/Nov 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved professional nursing education program.
• At least two years of experience practicing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current, unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing students during assigned clinical experiences.
• Help students apply classroom knowledge in real-world patient care settings.
• Promote safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance using established clinical objectives and evaluation tools.
• Provide timely coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback.
• Maintain student attendance, clinical documentation, and evaluation records.
• Communicate student progress and concerns with the Program Administrator.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio Board of Nursing requirements, program policies, and clinical agency expectations.
• Serve as a professional role model for students.
• Collaborate with healthcare partners to provide high-quality clinical learning experiences.
• Participate in faculty meetings, orientation, and professional development as assigned.
