Essential Functions

Program objectives

• Remains knowledgeable about program goals and objectives.
• Understands clinical objectives and evaluation systems.

Preparation and execution of clinical applications

• Prepares and executes clinical applications effectively.
• Supervises and instructs students during clinical sessions.
• Ensures proper skill instruction and evaluates students' progress in all settings.
• Monitors student attendance across all applications.
• Reporting and documentation:
• Generates oral or written reports for all students.
• Maintains accurate records of students' performance and activities during skill sessions.

Supervision and mentorship

• Ensures proper supervision of students during skill practice sessions.
• Serves as a positive role model for students.
• Brings any issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor's attention.

Evaluation and compliance

• Acts as an objective evaluator during skill examinations and evaluations.
• Collaborates with the program director to periodically review and revise course materials.
• Ensures student compliance with program policies and guidelines.

Professional development

• Pursues continuous professional development to stay current with the professional discipline and educational methodologies.
• Collaborates with the program director to integrate updated knowledge into the curriculum.

Overall collaboration and communication

• Collaborates effectively with the program director on various aspects, including course material review and student compliance.
• Maintains open communication channels and promptly addresses any challenges or problems that arise.

Clinical Experience Requirments

• Minimum of 2 years of fulltime experience in Nursing.
• Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable

Education And Licenses/ Registrations/Certification Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Masters preferred).
• A current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Clinical experience in nursing, preferably in acute care settings.
• Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
