Job summary

Missouri Southern State University is seeking dedicated Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Pre-Licensure BSN Program beginning Fall 2026. Faculty will support the department's mission to prepare safe, competent nurses.

Teaching will occur in clinical, laboratory, or classroom settings with schedule variability. Compensation is on a per credit hour basis, and a Missouri RN license is required or licensed in a compact state.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
• Minimum BSN.
• At least 2 years of RN experience in acute care, specialty, or community/school settings.
• MSN preferred; teaching or precepting experience appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating student learning in clinical, laboratory, or classroom environments
• Supervising students in hospital and community settings
• Providing student coaching, evaluation, and performance feedback
• Supporting course faculty with the implementation of the curriculum
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation related to student performance
• Ensuring safe, effective, and professional practice within all learning environments
• Clinical Days: Thursdays and Fridays
• Class Days: Mondays and Tuesdays
• The actual schedule is determined by course needs and faculty availability
