Luminis Health, Inc. seeks a Clinical Supervisor in Lanham, MD to lead nursing staff on the unit, oversee patient care coordination and participate in education and staff development activities.

The supervisor provides expert clinical guidance, participates in hiring decisions and performance evaluations, and ensures adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care across the continuum, supporting staff development, and leading unit

Qualifications

• Required Minimum Education: BSN
• Preferred: MSN
• Required Minimum Experience: 3 years as an RN in specialty related field
• Required License / Certification: Maryland RN license, BLS
• Where applicable, specialty certifications are required and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and is a clinical expert practitioner at the unit, with responsibility for education and staff development.
• Performs supervisory duties including hiring, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and discharge recommendations.
• Coordinates patient care across the continuum and serves as a clinical resource for staff.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to improve pathways, protocols, and patient care delivery.
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate and mentors new staff.
• Educates staff and precepts new hires, with competency in computer documentation.
