Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to serve as a clinical expert across outpatient procedural services at the Digestive Health Center and Ambulatory Procedure Center, leading evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives for complex procedural care.

You will mentor nursing staff and collaborate with physicians, APPs, and anesthesia to advance care across pre/post, procedural, and bedside settings while embracing new technology and evolving

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctorate Degree in Nursing is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience are required.
• Licensed as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire
• Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification in areas of specialty or population focus Upon Hire
• Basic Life Support CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical expert across outpatient procedural services, supporting nursing practice at the Digestive Health Center and APC.
• Lead evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives for complex procedural care.
• Support nurses caring for patients undergoing advanced procedures and high-acuity cases.
• Partner with an expert multidisciplinary team to advance care delivery across procedural, pre/post, and bedside settings.
• Provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and education to nursing staff while integrating new technology and evolving techniques.
