For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience!
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation from employment.
Unit Bio: The Surgical Oncology unit cares for various specialties, including complex Upper and Lower GI, GYN Oncology, and Head and Neck. It also serves as an acute medical/surgical unit with 12 Intermediate Level Care beds. The nursing staff foster an environment that values excellence, teamwork, and peer support. Staff collaborate with leadership in a shared governance model, and the unit encourages professional development. Staffing practices support 12-hour shifts and flexible scheduling for weekends and holidays.
Summary: The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission, vision, and values through excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, which may be provided across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
