Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric PreOP/PACU registered nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient surgery. The role requires a minimum of one year in a critical care setting and collaboration with a dedicated pediatric team in a family-centered environment.

Applicants must hold an ADN, BSN, or Diploma Nursing degree, a valid Arizona RN license (or multistate license), and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to pediatric patients in PreOP/PACU for outpatient surgery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients and families to promote patient health per care plans and standards.

Schedule: Mon-Fri (days vary), Days, 7:30am-6pmPosting Note: PreOP/PACU in the Aerodigestive unit is hiring! In this role, you will provide medical care to patients who are coming to PCH for outpatient surgery. Incumbent must have a minimum of one plus years working in a critical care unit. The nurses in this unit have re-defined teamwork when it comes to caring for the children who are going in or coming out of surgery. You will work with the best medical team in Arizona, and see miracles happen every day. This role is 0730 -1800, working 4/10's!! The best part is that this unit does NOT require HOLIDAYS, WEEKENDS or CALL!! Hurry, this position will be filled in a week! NO NEW GRADS, please. This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree (Required)

Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date (Required)

Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date (Required)

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program (Preferred)
