Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Perioperative Services at Main Campus II. The RN provides professional nursing care, assesses patient/family needs, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support safety and comfort.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, Ohio RN license, CPR, and a plan to obtain a BSN within five years. 32-hour full-time schedule, Monday through Friday with one day off and Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.
• Commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Registered Nursing license in State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per ANA and Ohio Board of Nursing standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to assess patient/family needs.
• Promote patient and family experience and safety in perioperative care.

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care using the standards of care and the standards of professional performance outlined by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN interacts with an interdisciplinary team to promote the optimal health potential of the patient and family, delivering proficient nursing care based on a detailed assessment of the patient/family needs and the hospital mission.
