Job summary

Non in Birmingham seeks a Clinical Nurse to deliver high quality patient care under general direction, support providers during procedures, and ensure accurate documentation and safety in a collaborative clinical setting.

You will monitor patients, respond to changes, coordinate with the care team to plan and implement care, educate patients and families, and maintain precise records while upholding safety and regulatory standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in the state of practice or compact eligible; proof required.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or LPN certificate from an accredited program.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools; basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to multi task, stay calm under stress, and detail oriented.
• Flexible schedule and professional appearance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous high quality nursing care, monitor patients, and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with care team to assess, implement, and evaluate plans.
• Support procedures clinically including IV access and safety checks.
• Educate patients and families, deliver discharge instructions, obtain physician clearance.
• Maintain accurate records and audit charts.
• Uphold safety, infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory standards.
• Foster a positive team environment through mentoring and communication.
• Assist with supply inventory and equipment readiness.
• Stay current through training and development; perform other duties.
• Travel required; reliable transportation needed.
