Job summary

Phoenix Children's seeks a Clinical Nurse for the Ortho, Pulm unit in Phoenix. This part-time position collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, and families to deliver professional nursing care aligned with plans of care and hospital standards.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, document progress, educate families, and participate in rounds and care conferences. The role also includes mentoring students and new staff while upholding patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions across age groups.
• Documents progress in charts and informs the care team and families.
• Ensures medication, storage and documentation compliance with standards.
• Provides unit orientation and onboarding to patients and families.
• Supervises care activities and provides timely feedback to the team.
• Collaborates with care team and families to implement plans of care.
• Mentors students and new employees through clinical instruction.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
