Job summary

Phoenix Children's is hiring RNs with at least 1 year of bedside experience for our Observation/Ortho/Trauma/Pulmonary unit, a fast-paced area caring for diverse surgeries and pediatric patients.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based nursing care, perform assessments, document progress, educate families, and participate in rounds and care conferences.

Qualifications

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions to determine initial plan of care.
• Continually evaluates patient responses to care and documents progress.
• Provides orientation and mentorship to students and new staff.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions consistent with age and condition, including physical, psychological, social, developmental, and educational factors.
• Documents patient progress in appropriate charts and shares observations with healthcare team and families.
• Supervises patient care activities and delegates tasks to team members to ensure safety and quality care.
