$30.00/hr - $47.28/hr

About the Role

Alton Memorial Hospital offers advanced surgical services in a state-of-the-art facility. The surgical team includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and technologists, performing inpatient and outpatient procedures.

History and Services

Founded in 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital serves Alton, Illinois, and surrounding communities with inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, medical imaging, heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, emergency care, and ambulance services.

Operating Room Details

The OR comprises 7 general rooms, 1 cysto room, and 1 minor procedure room. Staffing is from 0700 to 1700 Monday-Friday, with additional coverage by a Call Crew outside these hours.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and compliance; engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural needs.
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree
• Experience: None required
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
