Salem Health is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to provide safe, high-quality surgical care across ages at Salem Hospital in Salem, Oregon. Join a busy Level II Trauma Center with 18 ORs and a mission-driven team.

You will deliver intraoperative care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in education and certification programs to advance clinical excellence and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required; ADN and diploma RN with commitment to BSN/MSN within 3 years.
• BLS certification required.
• Current unencumbered RN license to practice in Oregon.
• Minimum of one year operating room nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intraoperative nursing care for elective and emergent procedures across multiple specialties.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient surgical workflows.
• Perform accurate, ongoing patient assessments before, during, and after procedures.
• Support trauma-level surgical cases as part of a 24/7 coverage team.
• Utilize state-of-the-art surgical equipment and technology.
• Communicate clearly in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Participate in education opportunities and certification programs (e.g., CNOR, CRNFA).

Position type: Full Time, 40 hours/week, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Staggered shifts between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, three 12-hour shifts, and variable call coverage

Working in one of the busiest Level II Trauma Centers in the Pacific Northwest, you'll support a wide range of surgical specialties across 18 state-of-the-art ORs- excluding only burn and organ transplants. Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing, or non-nursing bachelor's degree with a Master of Science in nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) and graduates of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply;ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Minimum of one year ofoperating room nursing experience.
