The position requires RN licensure in Maryland, BLS, and 1+ year acute care experience; BSN preferred. The department emphasizes patient education, discharge planning, and palliative care coordination with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS certification; ACLS/Life Support as unit requires.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Competency in electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology, med/surg, and hospice patients.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy (if certified), and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Offer emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning, pain management, and palliative care coordination.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team.
