Job summary

Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse in New York, NY for a full-time day shift. The role delivers safe, high-quality nursing care to a designated patient group within KCC 5 North - MSH, applying Relationship Centered Care and nursing theory.

You will assess needs, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and participate in care planning and transition. NY RN license and BSN are required; BLS required; NRP/ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification required; NRP/ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care by applying the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking in care management.
• Integrate assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in planning, implementing and evaluating care.
• Prioritize patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers about plan of care, transitions, and disease prevention.
