Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients as possible through our outpatient clinic partnerships.

The Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for coordinating the clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. This includes patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and quality improvement initiatives. The role collaborates with the Program Director and Medical Director to meet the Center’s objectives and ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction.

All clinicians in a Healogics Center must perform their responsibilities according to Healogics policies, hospital policies, accreditation standards, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines, as applicable.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in all responsibilities related to Case Management, including assessments, procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.
  • Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities, provides oversight to clinical staff such as RNs, LPNs, LVNs, CMAs, Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians, etc.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers, hospital personnel, Wound Care Center staff, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs.
  • Continuously evaluates and improves processes and procedures while complying with HIPAA, DOH, hospital, and Healogics requirements.
  • Engages in staff development through training, in-services, and orientation.
  • Provides staff recognition through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
  • Assists the Program Director in coordinating program objectives, including budget and financial management.
  • If applicable, coordinates vein clinic services and assists in providing care post Healogics Vein Clinic training.
  • Works with the Program and Medical Directors to meet Wound Care Center quality indicators.
  • May serve as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) per policies.
  • May perform hyperbaric safety duties after training, including chamber operations and emergency procedures.
  • Performs patient care as needed based on staffing requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:

  • Current RN license, maintained throughout employment.
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year RN experience required; two or more years preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Wound care certification is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and follow-up skills.
  • Analytical, leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Research and teaching capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hospital and web-based databases.

Salary range: $73,395.00 - $119,490.00 annually, based on qualifications, education, experience, location, and operational needs.
