Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager - RN for Labor and Delivery, nights. You will lead patient care delivery, serve as clinical resource, and act as administrator in the absence of unit leaders, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes.

Collaborate with Nursing Director to set unit goals, monitor regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety. Must hold BSN, NY RN license, 2+ years L&D RN experience, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current New York State RN license.
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• NRP certification from the National Certification Corporation.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care delivery for Labor and Delivery as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of unit leaders.
• Facilitate efficient and cost-effective daily operations of the unit(s) related to admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Promote safety and quality by ensuring continuity of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures.
• Participate with the Director of Nursing in setting short and long-term unit goals aligned with hospital strategy.

Facilitates efficient and cost effective daily operations of the unit(s) in relation to patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Promotes a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, participates in the establishment of units short and long term goals and ensures its alignment with the hospital’s overall strategic goals. Accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory, hospital and divisional requirements.

Preferred Criteria

• Master's Degree in related area

Salary Range: $145,000-$168,000/Annual
