Komansky Children’s Hospital inpatient units include general pediatrics, pediatric stepdown, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Pediatric nurses at Komansky Children’s Hospital are committed to excellence, providing patient and family-centered care. As the PICU Clinical Manager, you will lead a Magnet-designated nursing team and collaborate with the transformational leaders of the entire Pediatric service line, working closely with the three units’ Patient Care Directors and fellow Clinical Managers.
This Clinical Manager position is for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and also provides Pediatric service line support at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center Komansky Children’s Hospital.
This is a full-time 10-hour Evening Flex shift position, working 4 shifts a week (including weekends with flexibility to meet the needs of the unit). Shift hours are 2pm to 12 midnight.
Preferred Criteria:
· Previous management experience
· Master’s in Nursing or related field; if Master’s in Nursing, a BSN can be preferred
· American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification
Required Criteria:
  • At least two years of Pediatric Critical Care experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Current New York State RN license
  • BCLS certification
  • PALS Certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies
