Role Summary

The Clinical Nurse Manager in our ambulatory surgery center provides clinical management and expertise over Pre-Op, PACU, GI nurses, surgical technicians, and central sterile processing staff to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care. This role offers opportunities for future growth within the organization.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing program.
  • Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED, along with relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in surgery.
  • Current FL RN License.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
  • CNOR certification strongly preferred.
  • Independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
  • Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, with knowledge of developmental needs across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all surgical care areas for Pre-Op, PACU, & GI.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with your Administrator.
  • Ensure daily operations adhere to clinical standards and policies.
  • Maintain sufficient staffing by timely communication of scheduling changes.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluating nursing care quality.
  • Provide staff support through breaks, coverage, and resource management.
  • Ensure materials are prepared for each surgical case.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions between procedures.
  • Delegate, coach, mentor, and resolve conflicts within your team.
  • Build trust and respect through effective leadership and participation.
