Position Overview

The Clinical Sales Liaison, RN is responsible for patient education and sales in a hospital setting. This role involves working directly with case managers and discharge planners to process home infusion referrals within hospital systems. Sales training will be provided as directed by the Regional Sales Director.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide clinical education and manage marketing services to hospital and physician referral sources to promote Optum Specialty Pharmacy Infusion Services programs and services.
2. Assess and coordinate, with Case Managers and Discharge Planners, home infusion services to determine the care plan under the direction of the patient’s physician.
3. Train patients and caregivers on therapy, monitoring, side effects, and demonstrate procedures for home therapy administration, including return demonstrations.
4. Maintain and grow relationships with facility customers, providing responsive customer service and evaluating clinical and service needs.
5. Conduct in-services and continuing education for referral sources and support staff; collaborate with the Regional Sales Director on presentations.
6. Achieve or exceed quarterly revenue and referral goals.

Qualifications

Required

• Current, unrestricted RN license in New York.
• At least 2 years of IV-related clinical experience.
• Experience working with laptops/tablets, including multitasking across applications.
• Effective communication and teaching skills with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to travel within New York City.

Preferred

• Home healthcare experience (2+ years).
• Experience in hospital, DME, home care, or case management (2+ years).
• Hospital liaison experience (1+ year).
• Sales and customer service experience (1+ year).
• Knowledge of INS standards and nursing process.
• Ability to work independently and seek new service opportunities.

Additional Information

The salary range is $59,500 to $116,600 annually, based on full-time employment and various factors such as experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
